To the Residents of the Village of Lagrange:

In my last update I gave you a total count of seventeen, we are now up to twenty-two. I do not know who these people are but I do know and have been given permission to tell you that eight of them are at Keystone Pointe Nursing Home. They have set up a Covid unit and they are in quarantine. Basically, this means we have two more cases in the Village and I am sure they are in quarantine also. Unfortunately, someone went into the Nursing Home that was a carrier and these people were infected. I know also that Keystone Pointe has done a great job dealing with this pandemic but all it takes is one person to spread this virus no matter how hard you try not to. I would ask everyone to keep them in your thoughts and prayers and I am sure we all wish them a speedy recovery. Please continue to practice social distancing and wear a mask when appropriate, also the washing of your hands is very important to keep this virus in check along with the use of hand sanitizer. I have also been advised that we will stay in the red through this week and we will have to see what happens next week.

I have been asked again about Halloween and it is still scheduled for October 31 from 6:00 pm to 7:30 pm. Please practice social distancing when possible and if you don’t feel comfortable participating then you should stay at home. If you want children to come to your home please leave the front porch light on.

Hoping you all stay safe!

Mayor Kim Strauss
