To the Residents of the Village of Lagrange:

Lately, the updates I have been giving have been pretty depressing, but I am happy to report that things are looking up. We went from thirty-one COVID-19 cases two weeks ago to fifteen last week to nine this week. We have also gone down to red level three, instead of purple level four, in the county as their numbers continue to slowly go down. I hope these numbers continue to drop as the vaccine is also being given at this time to many front-line workers. They were given to Keystone Pointe staff and residents this Monday and I hope this helps our elderly population as well. I was just given permission to give everyone some very good news, Keystone Pointe tested one hundred and five staff members and residents Monday and the results came back with no positives. I believe the hard work these people do on the front lines is making a huge difference in peoples lives. Great job to everyone at Keystone Pointe!!!!!!! Please keep these people in your thoughts and prayers.

I would like to give a shout out to the Durham Ridge homeowners association, the Lagrange Fire Department, the Lagrange Police Department, Village workers and everyone else involved with Santa visiting the community by firetruck. Not only was this great for the kids but it brought in much needed food for the Lagrange Lions Second Harvest Food bank and toys for the Keystone Girls’ Softball team. Also, a big shout out for everyone who has donated food and toys for people in need!!!!!!

On a different note, I would also like to thank the local businesses on the square for adopting a waste container on the square. During the summer they watered plants for the Village that were put there and then they took it one step farther by decorating them for Christmas. They look great and I hope this continues and becomes a tradition along with Santa on the firetruck!!!!

I would like to end this update by wishing everyone a safe and Merry Christmas along with a prosperous New Year!!!! Please continue to practice social distancing when appropriate, you have all been doing a great job!!!
