To the Residents of the Village of Lagrange:It has been awhile since my last update because we have had no new cases for the last couple of weeks in the Village. I said in my last update that we had a total of 10 cases and I missed one. The total for the Village is eleven and the Township is about double that in the low twenties. Considering the Township has about double the residents this is a good number for them as well. I believe at this time, most or all of them are out of quarantine and getting back to a normal life. I would like to commend all of you for the social distancing I have seen and for the wearing of masks when it is appropriate. Now that we are out of the red alert, we can relax some and try to get some the normalcy of our lives. Our local hospitals are also doing well dealing with the cases they have as well as getting back to taking care of the elective surgeries for patients, let’s hope this continues.I would like to let everyone know that Helping Hands Food Pantry will be doing a drive through pantry this Saturday August 15 from 10:00 am to noon at Our Lady Queen of Peace Church hall at 708 Erie St. behind the church. Please stay in your car and enter off of State Route 57 and follow the cones. They will be serving Grafton Village, Grafton Township, Eaton Township, Lagrange Township and the Village of Lagrange. If you know of anyone in need please pass this along. As always if you need assistance in any way please feel free to call the Village at 440-355-5555 or my cell phone at 440-355-5309 to see how we can help.
